Top 10 Things To Look Forward In 2019

2019 has got plenty of amazing contents in store for us. Here’s a look at the top 10 of those which will make our year amazing.

10. Glass

With the cast lead by James McAvoy, Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis, Glass is the last movie in the Unbreakable series, also known as “Eastrail 177 Trilogy”. The film provides as the sequel to Unbreakable (2000) and Split (2016). Glass, written, co-produced and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, will release in US on 18th January 2019.

9. DC Universe

DC Universe, the streaming service, was launched on 15th September 2018. And it has already impressed us with its original series Titans, by bringing some iconic DC Comics characters like Raven, Beast Boy and Starfire to live action for the first time. Now, following on with the good work, prominent names like Doom Patrol (mid-February 2019 to late May 2019), Swamp Thing (late May 2019 to late August 2019), Stargirl (late August 2019 to late November 2019) and Harley Quinn (mid-October 2019 through early 2020) will have their own web series coming  to DC Universe.

8. Joker Movie

Fans got excited when the filming videos got leaked and a video showing Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker for the first time was released by Warner Bros. on their social platforms. This is a stand-alone (not a part of DCEU) movie and will show the origin of Joker. The movie is set to release on 4th October 2019.

7. Shazam!

Shazam! will be seventh installment to the DC Extended Universe. The movie is directed by Davis F. Sandberg who is famous for directing Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation. The cast of the movie is led by Zachary Levi  and Asher Angel. This movie will mark the first live-action form of the renowned superhero from DC Comics. Shazam! is set to release on 5th April 2019.

6. Dark Phoenix

Dark Phoenix is the twelfth installment in the X-Men series. The story is set in set 1992 and will explore the extreme powers of Jean Grey (Sophie Turner). James McAvoy (as Prof. Charles Xavier), Michael Fassbender (as Magneto) and Jennifer Lawrence (as Mystique) also star in the movie. The movie will release on 7th June 2019.

5. Spider-Man: Far From Home

The movie will be sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming with Tom Holland reprising his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. The story of the movie continues after the events of Avengers: Endgame, where Peter is going for a vacation. The film also has Quentin Beck/Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) who is recruited by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to help Peter Parker to fight against Elementals. The movie is slated to release on 5th July 2019.

4. Captain Marvel

She is the most powerful superhero in the Marvel Universe and her movie will debut as the first woman superhero solo movie in MCU. The movie will tell the origin story of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) and will feature a young Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). The movie releases on 8th March 2019.

3. Stranger Things

Strangers Things have won a lot of heart over the course of two seasons. And we fans can’t get enough of these kids fighting monsters that are residents of Upside Down, a dimension beyond explanation. After a gap of an year Stranger Things will return with its third and final season and with  new threats in 2019.

2. Avengers: Endgame

2018 was the year which made us cry for removal of our favorite heroes, like Spider-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange and many more, from their existence. That was the only movie (Avengers: Infinity War) where we saw all our heroes together (except Hawkeye and Ant-Man) fighting against Thanos and his army. Alas! The movie ended with our heroes being defeated. But 2019 is about redemption. It’s about the Endgame. The curtain will unfurl when Avengers: Endgame releases on 26th April 2019.

1. Game of Thrones

This, final season, is not about thrones and empire, it’s all come down to “Game of Survival”. Night King is coming with his humongous army (army of dead including two giants and dragon) and our heroes have to reunite against this common enemy. Will Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Cersei fight together? And win? Or the Night King sits on the throne after conquering the entire Westeros? We will have to wait till April 2019.
