Top 10 Marvel Movies (MCU Movies Only) [March 2019 Update]

We know it’s impossible to pick out top 10 Marvel movies from the list of so many awesome movies MCU has given us. However, we at Nerd Curry have tried to present you with the best MCU movies that we have so far.

You are welcome to disagree with the placement and position of the movies. Though these are some of the movies that our visitors think they will watch again and again.

10. Doctor Strange (2016)

The origin story of Dr. Stephen Strange and his story of becoming the greatest magician of the century. The movie was directed by Scott Derrickson and did good on the box office. We saw an infinity stone, time stone in the movie and it was nicely connected to other MCU too. There are some really cool visual effects. And for the first time, it was about magic rather than the science stuff.

9. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

The Winter Soldier answered some of the really intriguing questions arising in the MCU. the movie was directed by Russo brothers (Joe Russo, Anthony Russo). It become a very important part of the franchise. If you are marvel fan than you would know the universe makes sense because of this movie.

8. Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

The second Avengers movies, Age of Ultron introduced us with new heroes emerging in the MCU. We also saw the power of infinity stones and their capabilities. Joss Whedon directed the movie and this movie set the course for civil war and later we saw its after-effect in Avengers: Infinity War too.

7. Guardians of Galaxy (2014)

This movie expanded the horizon of the Marvel universe and we saw some really cool mysteries of the universe too. Another infinity stone, power stone was introduced and also a sneak peak of origin of all infinity stones. It was a directed by James Gunn and he really did a great job in showing the guardians.

6. Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Civil War was the first intense movie delivered by MCU that made fans think about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since then the rumors of the death of many heroes are emerging. We saw heroes fighting heroes for the first time and it left us heartbroken. Some people even said that our favorite Captain America and Iron Man might retire after the events of movie.

5. Iron Man (2008)

Another awesome and badass movie by Marvel, about Tony Stark. From story to screenplay to direction, everything was on-spot. It was the origin story and it hit the fans where it was required. A must watch for all Marvel fans out there.

4. The Avengers (2012)

The first time we saw all our favorite heroes coming together and fighting a common enemy. Directed by Joss Whedon, The Avengers was praised by both critics and fans. The visual effects were on top. This was really the biggest superhero movie at the time of release.

3. Thor Ragnarok (2017)

The god of thunder, Thor made the mark with this movie. Thor lost his father, planet and even his hammer (Mjolnir), but still maintained the humor. We understand more about his power and origin. A bond between brother, Thor and Loki, was seen in the movie and it was nicely directed by Taika Waititi.

2. Black Panther (2018)

So far, one and only superhero/Marvel movie to win Oscar(s). An origin story of Black Panther was in continuation after the events of Civil War. It won the hearts of many and broke so many box office records. Ryan Coogler showed a really nice mix of culture and technology.

1. Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Finally, we got Avengers: Infinity War and changed so many things that people are still waiting for the part 2 (Avengers: Endgame). We got Marvel heroes, together, fighting Thanos who has acquired all the infinity stones. Directed by Russo brothers, it is clearly an EPIC movie.
