James Gunn’s Suicide Squad is “Total Reboot”

Yes, officially James Gunn is directing both, Suicide Squad and Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 3. On the one hand, the work he designed (script) for the Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 3 remains intact. On the other hand, we see he is rebooting the Suicide Squad and making everything from scratch.

Peter Safran, producer of Shazam!, Aquaman and The Nun, revealed that Suicide Squad by James Gunn is a “Total Reboot” while in a conversation with JoBlo. He also said that they are referring the movie as Suicide Squad not Suicide Squad 2.

While the cast still not open yet. However, we know that Will Smith is not returning as Deadshot. Instead, we might see Idris Elba playing the role of Deadshot.

Working with both Marvel and DC is going to be something new. The infamous rivalry between the two superhero universe. However, Safran said, “There’s always been this Marvel/DC rivalry, which he has said, and I agree, is absurd.”

Last year, in July, Disney fired James Gunn because some of his tweets resurfaced where he was making jokes about rape and paedophilia. It Looked by Disney was withstanding on the decision. However, we are surprised to see Disney and Marvel reinstating James Gunn for Guardians of Galaxy again.
